The team has also started the post-production work including editing and dubbing side by side. Resul Pookutty has joined the team of 'Nanban' for sound designing.

Not just that, cast and crew of 'Nanban' are flying abroad with a long schedule in their planner and with this, all the scenes of 'Nanban' will be shot.

Ilaya Thalapathi’s birthday wish

The actor is facing a splendid time in his career now, what with the big names in the industry roping him in. On the political front too, the leader he supported is wielding power. All is going as planned and tomorrow when he celebrates his birthday what will be on the top spot in Vijay’s mind?

Here is what. Vijay, reports reveal, has requested his fans to celebrate his birthday tomorrow helping the poor and the needy in the society. The actor has been in the news many times earlier too for the efforts that he takes for the underprivileged in the society.

There are reports that all the babies born tomorrow at the Govt. Children Hospital in Egmore will receive a gold ring for their little finger. Incidentally this happens to be the same place where the star was born more than 37 years back on the same day. It is not very clear who will sponsor the gifts for the newborns though.

Some birdies also reveal that Vijay will lunch with the children in an orphanage tomorrow. It is good to know that the stars are able to do their bit for the underprivileged and the orphaned on their special days.

Great going ‘Ilaya Thalapathi,’ we hope many follow your footsteps!

VIJAY plays a cop role in 'Paglavan'

Looks like the Seeman – Vijay duo is keen on starting ‘Pagalavan’ right after Vijay finishes up with ‘Nanban,’ a multi-starrer under Shankar’s direction.

We had earlier told you the script consisted of a doctor Vijay, who plays the role of Pugazhendi and serves the poor in a village and then fights a mafia who deals with expired medicines.

But now, Seeman has brought about certain changes in ‘Pagalavan’s script, making it a whole-new-package altogether!

This new aspect will show a young Vijay fighting for a cause, against the privatization of certain sectors by the Government. ‘Pagalavan’ will see a rough-tough war between Vijay who is a doctor and a police officer.  And during these fights, Vijay realizes he can do better for the common man if he is a part of the police force.

He then studies IPS, rises to power as a police official in the society and puts an end to the mafia who is dealing with expired medicines.

So yes, Vijay dons the avatar of a doctor and later a police officer in ‘Pagalavan.’ We must remember that Vijay’s earlier movie where he played a cop - ‘Pokkiri’ was a blockbuster.

Vijay is the reason for the change - seemaan

Director Seeman has said that Vijay is the reason for the change in government in Tamil Nadu. The fiery director has said that it was Vijay who has helped in overthrowing the DMK government for the atrocities and corruption they had committed. Seeman stated that though Vijay did not campaign for the AIADMK in person, he ensured that his father SA Chandrasekar and his fans worked for the AIADMK’s victory.
It may be noted here that Vijay had extended his support for the party during the elections and later met the AIADMK chief J Jayalalitha at her residence to congratulate on her astounding victory.
